Welcome (Bienvenidos) to Hola Teddy

What do you do when your wildest dream comes true? Celebrate, celebrate, and celebrate some more! We have been sharing our retirement adventures with our Facebook friends for a few months now and constantly hear, “you guys need to start a blog.” So, here it is; a retirement blog focused on living in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and traveling the world with our dog, Teddy.

Where to begin? Already 5 months in, and there is so much to share. Rather than spin in circles, I decided to take my own advice, “start where you are, and catch up as you can.” That said, expect our everyday adventures to be sprinkled in with the story of how we got here… oh, and a healthy dose of nonsense along the way! 

Although the internet is crowded with countless travelogues on various platforms, we think there is room for one more. Hola Teddy offers a fresh perspective on living in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, traveling the world, and enjoying the carefree lifestyle of retirement – all with a bossy, 4-pound chihuahua in tow. 

We don’t claim to be experts, but we promise to have fun and be as helpful as possible. Since this is a team effort, let me give you a quick rundown on the crew.

My husband (Brad) has… how should I say it?… a distinct sense of humor. He is a constant source of entertainment for everyone around him. If you have him pegged for the nonsense portion of the blog, you are right! Teddy is known to frequent the airwaves with his insights, opinions, and keen chihuahua observations. Most know me (Kristi) as the planner, encourager, and person who keeps things from going completely off the rails.
